VOLTAGE REGULATORS

The BEST voltage regulators on the market! ZERO failures in OVER 10 years.

High-Quality Replacement Voltage Regulators for Polaris and Can-Am Models

Looking for a reliable voltage regulator for your Polaris or Can-Am vehicle? Our premium voltage regulators are designed for Polaris SxS UTV models, including the 800, 900XP, 2015 900 Trail, 900S, 1000S, 1000XP, and 1000 Turbo. They’re also compatible with Polaris Rangers, Sportsman ATVs, and even some Can-Am X3s when paired with our stator plug.

Key Features and Installation Requirements

  • Efficient Cooling: Mount the regulator near the engine in a well-ventilated area to ensure proper airflow and cooling.
  • Compatible Design: This replacement will solve issues with burnt-out regulators and plugs if your current voltage regulator features a single plug with three wires and red/black ring terminals (as shown in the image).

Why Choose Our Voltage Regulators?

  • Made in Japan: Unlike factory regulators made in China, our units are built with superior Japanese electronics for unmatched reliability and performance.
  • Double the Cooling Fins: Our design includes twice the cooling fins compared to factory models, ensuring better heat dissipation and longer-lasting durability.
  • Proven Reliability: With over 10 years of real-world testing, our voltage regulators have a flawless track record—even under the heavy demands of Z1 engine conversions.

Installation Notes

  • For the 2014 RZR 1000, our voltage regulator performs flawlessly in the stock engine compartment location, with no issues from water or overheating over a decade of use.
  • For 2016+ 1K Turbo models, we recommend installing the regulator in the back, near the engine, to minimize wiring length and reduce heat buildup. This avoids the problems commonly associated with longer wiring runs to the front.

If your regulator plugs match the example shown, we recommend installing the HAWK Voltage Regulator near the engine in the back for optimal performance. Here's how to set it up:

  • Engine Stator Connection: Plug the 3 yellow wires directly into the engine stator using the single connector.
  • Power and Ground Connections: Attach the RED ring terminal to the battery power source, typically found on the starter solenoid, and the BLACK ring terminal to a grounded frame stud. Alternatively, you can connect both the RED and BLACK ring terminals directly to the battery.

Why Install in the Back?
This setup is simple, efficient, and eliminates potential issues from running the harness to the front. By reducing the number of connectors and keeping wiring shorter, you’ll minimize the risk of overheating and melted connections. It’s an easy installation designed for better performance and long-term reliability.

Important Reminders

  • Check your stator plug for damage before installation. If it’s melted (as shown in the top right image), you’ll need to replace it. We offer replacement stator plugs—simply select the option from the dropdown menu below.
  • If you live in Canada, you must add the extra shipping to your cart via the drop-down list.
  • We offer a 90-day warranty on our VR units and do not issue refunds on any used items. If we determine that the product has been plugged in or bolted down, no refund will be issued.
